Kenwood Elementary has begun its Cardinal Caring Award Program.  The program was started last year and runs for approximately one month.  The program was started to encourage children to treat others with kindness and respect by doing something without being told.  When children show an act of kindness, teachers and students fill out a Cardinal Kids slip, which is placed in a jar.  Every week 5 Cardinal Kids slips are drawn from the jar and these students receive a certificate and some type of reward for their efforts.
