Devan Fillmore, CMS 8^th Grader, is the Dawes County Spelling Bee Champion.  He will compete in the Scripp’s National Spelling Bee Qualifier in Omaha on March 15^th. Zach Banzhaf placed 3^rd and Kelsey Fillmore placed 4^th at the Dawes County Spelling Bee competition Feb. 27^th at the Courthouse.

Chadron Middle School held their annual school Spelling Bee on Wednesday, Feb. 20^th.  Grade winners who competed included:  5^th: Sydney Blome, Sarah Fillmore, Lane Jersild, Devin Julius, Veronica Parish; 6^th: Jake Bargen, Miles Chasek, Francisco Delgado, Logan Lembke, Jenny Van Vleet; 7^th: Lane Chasek, Kelsey Fillmore, Abby McFee, Michi Prante, Dylan Zeller; 8^th:  Zach Banzhaf, Nicole Blaylock, Devan Fillmore, Jamie McLain, Kenny Swift Bird, Teighlor Westemeier. 

Winners by grade were: Lane Jersild, Logan Lembke, Kelsey Fillmore and Devan Fillmore.  The CMS School Champion was Devan Fillmore.
