Every year is a new chapter of someone's life,
a new beginning to be and do something great. Next year, a new
chapter begins for the coeds and cheerleaders.
For years we have
seen cheerleaders and coeds roaming these halls as separates. We
have seen all these girls make the squad what it is today. At the
end of this year, no longer will you see them separated
anymore.
All ready we have combined both squads under one coach, Lindy
Coleman. She has put hard work and dedication into everything she
has done for the team. She buckled down on the girls and put them
into action this summer when fundraisers were held. She has put
more work into these squads, then what we have seen in years. She
will be the coach next year as well for the combining squads.
No more trying out for one or the other. If you want to dance, you
have to cheer; if you want to cheer you have to dance. There will
be competitions and hard work but also a lot of fun. There will
most likely be early morning practice, so dedication is key. There
will be late night arrivals from games, and just plain late nights
of cheering and dancing. There is going to be try-outs toward the
end of the year, and then there will be fundraisers and practices
during the summer. The money that will come from these fundraisers
will go toward new uniforms for the combining squad. These uniforms
will include ones to cheer in and ones to dance in.
Next year will be very hard to conform to, but in the end it will
be worth it. The surrounding public and everyone in school hopes to
see a good amount of girls come out for the squad.
