Infinite Campus FAQ
Q. What is Infinite Campus?
A. Infinite Campus is a web-based Student Information System (SIS). Unlike traditional systems, Infinite Campus is able to provide and make available student information to parents/guardians real time. Infinite Campus is an added benefit between the communication of our school district and its students. Features of the Campus Portal include:
- Demographic Information - certain demographic information will only be displayed.
- Family Calendar - this calendar feature displays "Assignments Due" and "Attendance Events" pertaining to your student or students.
- Student Calendar - similar to the Family Calendar except this is pertaining to just the student clicked upon.
- Schedule - each student's schedule is viewable within the Campus Portal.
- Assignments/Grades - all assignments/grades are posted for each student in the household.
- Attendance - all attendance events for each student are shown for the term and year.
- Reports - 2 common reports will be readily available, Student Schedule & Missing Assignments. An additional report, the Report Card, will be available at the end of the quarter/semester.
Q. How secure is the information contained in the Campus Portal?
A. Infinite Campus uses a 32-bit, secure socket layer (SSL) encryption technology to protect its information. This same technology is utilized by entities within the health care and banking divisions.
Q. Who can access the Campus Portal?
A. Only parents and guardians, including staff with students within the district, who have provided the necessary forms and documentation to the district will be able to view their student's information within the Campus Portal.
Q. When can I access the Campus Portal?
A. The Campus Portal is launched with the following dates. It will however not be available any date before the dates listed below.
- 01/12/09 - Chadron High School
- 02/02/09 - Chadron Middle School
- 02/09/09 - East Ward Elementary
- 02/23/09 - Kenwood Elementary & Attendance Centers
Q. How do I get an account for the Campus Portal?
A. Please read the "Establishing your Campus Portal Account" document found in the Tutorials section of the Infinite Campus tab within this site. The Campus Portal Access Request form is also located in the Infinite Campus tab under the "Tutorials" section.

Q. Do I need special software to view the Campus Portal?
A. To effectively view the Campus Portal you will need:
- Internet Access - the faster the better.
- Computer with Internet browser - Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox will work. Please update your browser to the latest versions (Internet Explorer 7 and Mozilla Firefox v.3.0.3)
- Adobe Reader - In order to view the reports within the Campus Portal you will need Adobe Reader (download here).
