Community Business Monopoly.

The 8th grade class got the opportunity to play
a Community Business Monopoly Game Friday, December
11th. The FBLA group from the high school sponsored the
activity. Karalee Kicker, Kirsten Petersen, and Toshia
Skinner were in charge of the event.
Twelve area businesses took part in the fun. They gave
the students a short informational visit about their individual
businesses when the teams landed on their space. Students
could purchase items with Monopoly money, pay for raffle tickets,
or save their money and hope to land on other businesess
later. It was a fun way for students to learn about area businesses
and become better consumers.
We'd like to thank the businesses who participated. They were Bank of the West, Donald's, Eagle Chevrolet, 1st National Bank of Chadron, 1st National Bank of North Platte, McDonald's, Pump and Pantry, Safeway, Taco John's, Tommy's Car Lot, Wahlstrom Ford, and Walmart.
