Rural Geography Bee

by Sam Sauser-Smith

On January 15, 2010 Prairie Home School had their school National Geography Bee which had 7 rounds about geography and most were multiple choices. With 21 contestants out of 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th graders, only one can win. It was a close call, but in the final round we had three people left, which were Dillon McGannon in 7th grade, Aly Crow in 7th grade, and Corbin Johnson in 5th grade.  Corbin Johnson won the championship round for the school and will now complete a written test to be sent in to see if he will be a state qualifier.
