A Journey Through the Past

The fourth grade classes at Chadron Intermediate School got to meet a geologist. Wade Beins, a geologist, spoke to the students about fossils, types of rocks, and the geology of the area where we live. The students were excited about the many types of rocks, fossils, and minerals that he brought with him and allowed the students to handle. If you asked any fourth grader what their favorite part of the presentation was, his/her answer would probably be, “Seeing the petrified camel dung!”
