Summer Space Camp Fun
Two years ago, Chadron Public Schools received a Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) grant from the State of Nebraska. The Nebraska BLAST program was implemented last year with a focus on space and continued this school year with an emphasis on robotics.

Important!!!!! Registration/check-in and Start/Finish will all take place at CHS track!! (NOT the NPAC as originally planned.) We look forward to seeing a huge crowd on Saturday!
What's Going On During the Last Days of the School Year at CMS?
It is the last full week of school and I wanted to give you a heads up on some of the things that are going on.
Students should begin cleaning out their lockers this week. The 8th graders will check in their locks on Friday, May 17th and the 7th graders will check out next Monday, May 20th. 5th and 6th graders will check in their locks next Tuesday and Wednesday.
CPR Training Fundraiser for National History Day
Chadron Middle School will host a CPR certification training on Monday, May 13th at 6:30 PM in the Middle School Library. The cost of the training is $30.00 per person and all of the proceeds will go towards funding the students who qualified for the National History Day competition in Washington D.C. this summer.
5K Fun Run/Walk
Come and support the Morning Marathon and Girls on the Run clubs by participating in a 5K Fun Run/Walk. All of the proceeds will go to these two excellent activities! Please click on the links below for more information.

CMS Students Advance in National History Day Competition
Congratulations to Beau Jersild, Cody Madsen, Drew Jersild and Walt Mays for advancing to the National round of the National History Day Competition! Jersild, Madsen, and Jersild took first place at the State of Nebraska competition, submitting a project about the Pony Express. Mays took second place at State with his documentary on Nicolaus Copernicus.

District Strategic Planning Meeting
There is a strategic planning meeting scheduled for Monday, March 25th at 6pm in the HS Auditorium. All are welcomed to attend.
CMS SPRING TESTING SCHEDULE
Below you will find the link to the CMS SPRING TESTING SCHEDULE. We will begin the Measures of Academic Progress (MAPS) test on Monday, March 18th. MAPS testing will be followed by the Nebraska State Accountability (NeSA) test. Please take a moment to review the schedule and note which days your student(s) will be testing.
A Celebration of Reading
On March 1st, students across the Chadron Public School District celebrated the birthday of Dr. Seuss. 8th grade students in Mrs. Waugh's English classes celebrated the day with students at the Chadron Primary School, Chadron Intermediate School, and the Child Development Center by reading some of their favorite Dr. Seuss books to the children.
