Greetings Chadron Public Schools Parents, Patrons, and Students:
Throughout the school year, classroom teachers have recognized students for doing amazing things and this month was no different. The following students have followed the Cardinal Way and have set incredible examples for fellow students. We want to congratulate and celebrate our April Cardinals of the Month; keep doing a fabulous job and have a GREAT summer!
We are so very proud of our Cardinals who follow the Cardinal Way! The following students were chosen by their classroom teachers as students who help those around them and represent the Cardinal Way. These students set wonderful examples for their classmates and fellow Cardinals at Chadron Primary School and we want to congratulate them on a job well done. Keep up the GREAT work kiddos, we are so excited to have you in our Chadron Primary School family!
Chadron Primary School PBIS team has selected the April Monthly Focus as "Spring Into Action - Healthy Habits". Once this focus is shared, staff members remind students about healthy habits and we ask for support and reminders at home as well. Please feel free to utilize the following resources for PBIS supports in your home.
Social and Emotional Learning Activities for Families and Educators
Students at Chadron Primary School have been practicing many of our school safety drills. Students recently participated in the statewide tornado drill and took part in taking shelter - in our schools we call this a Shelter Drill. A few weeks ago, students participated in our Lockdown Drill in which students remained in classrooms and listened to the announcement of "Locks, Lights, Out of Sight". All students and staff did a tremendous job of being prepared for emergency situations. Later this Spring we will also practice another Shelter Drill in which students will practice getting in
June Ballard with the Nebraska Woman's Christian Temperance Union presented students with prizes recently following a coloring contest held at Chadron Primary. Students received monetary prizes and the first place students had their pictures move on to the next level. We are so proud of the work our students do and excited to see what the future holds for our little artists.
Thank you Chadron Kiwanis for the donation of disposable masks for our Chadron Primary Students! We are so grateful to have the support of such a great organization when it comes to making sure our students have their needs met, everything from food for backpacks to masks for students, Kiwanis is there to help! Thank you once again!
Once again some of our youngest Cardinals are proving their worth in the nest! These students who were selected by their classroom teachers have done an outstanding job of following the Cardinal Way! They have gone above and beyond the three outlined reminders to 1)Be Safe, 2)Be Respectful, and 3)Be Responsible! They have set great examples within their classrooms as well as around Chadron Primary School! We are so proud of the actions of these young students ~ keep up the GREAT work!!
Chadron Primary School has been buzzing with activities and while we have not publicly recognized our Cardinals of the Month, we have been celebrating their successes here in school! We want to show our pride in our students for following the Cardinal Way over the past two months and do hope to continue with this recognition. We are so lucky to have students who are leaders in our building and set wonderful examples of how to treat others. Congratulations Cardinals of the Month!
Mrs. Cogdill's class sent notes and messages to our Dawes County Courthouse employees. Students were so excited to recognize and thank our county workers and Mrs. Cogdill's class got amazing returns on their thoughtfulness. County employees gathered together and ordered pizza for Mrs. Cogdill's class and then presented the class with a thank you note and money for the students to continue on with Random Acts of Kindness.
